This Privacy Policy describes how Repeat Patterns ("we," "us," or "our") handles data in the DepositDefender mobile application (the "Service"). We are committed to protecting your privacy through a "Privacy by Design" approach.

1. Our Privacy Philosophy: Local-Only Data

DepositDefender is designed as a Local-Only application. Unlike most apps, we do not require you to create an account, and we do not operate any external servers to store your information. Your data is your property, and it stays on your device.

2. Information Collection and Use

While using our Service, you may input the following types of information:

• Inspection Details: Property addresses, names of tenants and landlords, and dates.
• Assessment Data: Condition notes, checklist statuses, and history logs of changes.
• Media: Photos taken within the app to document property condition.

Processing: All processing of this data happens locally on your device. Repeat Patterns does not have access to, does not collect, and does not store any of this information on our own systems.

3. Device Permissions

To provide its core functionality, the app requires the following permissions:

• Camera: To allow you to take photos of property conditions.
• Photo Library / Storage: To save photos taken within the app and to allow the export of PDF reports to your device's storage.

You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings, though this will limit the app's functionality.

4. Third-Party Services and Analytics

We believe in a clean user experience. DepositDefender does not use:

• Third-party analytics SDKs (e.g., Google Analytics, Firebase).
• Third-party advertising networks.
• Tracking cookies or pixel tags.
• Social media integration or login providers.

5. Data Security

Because your data is stored exclusively on your device, the security of your information depends on the security of your hardware. We recommend using a device passcode, FaceID, or TouchID to prevent unauthorized access to your inspection records.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We do not hold your data, so we cannot delete it for you. You have full control over your data:

• You can delete individual inspections or photos within the app.
• Uninstalling the app will permanently delete the local database and all associated media from your device.

Note: Once data is deleted from your device, it cannot be recovered by Repeat Patterns.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our Service is not directed to anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children. Since no data is transmitted to us, we have no way of identifying users by age.

8. International Compliance (GDPR & CCPA)

While we do not collect personal data as defined by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the "Local-Only" architecture ensures that users in these jurisdictions maintain the highest level of control and "Right to Erasure" over their information.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top.
